Welcome. I'm Dr. Christian Veillette, and I'm dedicated to providing world-class care for shoulder and elbow conditions. My journey in orthopaedic surgery has been shaped by a commitment to both clinical excellence and innovation, ensuring my patients receive the most advanced and effective treatments available.

I am an internationally respected orthopedic surgeon and an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, specializing in reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and elbow. My clinical practice thrives at Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network, and the University of Toronto Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Program at Women's College Hospital.

My training includes dual fellowships that have provided me with a comprehensive and specialized skill set. I completed one fellowship at a Level 1 trauma center at St. Michael's Hospital, focusing on shoulder and elbow reconstruction and trauma. My second fellowship was at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, where I further specialized in shoulder and elbow reconstruction and arthroscopy. This unique combination of training from leading institutions has equipped me with a broad perspective and deep expertise in treating complex conditions, from pioneering elbow surgeries to intricate shoulder reconstructions.

Beyond the operating room, I am a recognized innovator in orthopaedic informatics. My research focuses on leveraging information technology and computer science to enhance healthcare, research, and education. I've been honored with the Canadian Orthopaedic Association Award of Merit for my leadership in this field and for my work with the Confluence enterprise wiki platform. I also co-founded several influential online platforms, including OrthopaedicsOne, Orthogate, Orthopaedia, and Orthopaedic Wellness Links, which together provide valuable educational resources to millions of patients and professionals annually.
